[dropcap]W[/dropcap]e found David Danforth and his incredibly creative artwork a little while back and have been enjoying him ever since. His imaginative approach to the medium is inspiring, exciting and reflects his deep Florida roots and backcountry history.

David Danforth is addicted to snook fishing.

Dave is a 3rd generation native Floridian, born in Tampa, FL.  His grandfather was a mullet fisherman in Chokoloskee who learned the back waterways and passed that knowledge onto his father, who passed it down to David. Now Dave enjoys bestowing that knowledge upon his two kids.

David spent the early years learning to fish with Zebco’s on the Little Manatee River, Apollo Beach, Simmons Park and the occasional Everglades trips. Nowadays, you can find him wading in the knee deep crystal clear beaches fly fishing for snook or near some isolated mangrove island pulling snook, tarpon and redfish out of Tampa Bay. Traveling all over Florida, catching every species it has to offer has been the cornerstone of his passion.
