[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Morrish Mouse is a great top water fly for large trout and bass. Many large trout feed exclusively at night so that they can take advantage of large quantities of protein that fall off of the banks. Enter, the Morrish Mouse. Summers in Alaska and other places are mouse season and you’d be prudent to pack a few of these if you are headed into trout country and plan on targeting large fish after the sun dips. This fly skates easily and floats really well. It also is very durable, definitely not a one fish fly. While there are a ton of great mouse patterns out there, the Morrish Mouse is tried and true and is a pretty easy tie. Follow the simple tying instructions in the great video shot by the guys at In The Riffle.
