For a person whose job is to protect the natural world within our borders, the E.P.A. administrator, Scott Pruitt, serves only the oil, chemical and mining interests that propped him up when he was attorney general of Oklahoma. He now runs the oil, chemical and mining protection agency out of Washington, with our money. You would never guess that this toady in a suit works for us. – Tom Egan (New York Times)

Toady’s new lap dog trick is at the behest of yet another combine of foreign trainers

A small Canadian mining startup, Tintina Resources, has partnered with Australian mining firm Sandfire to submit an application to the State of Montana to build a massive copper mine at the headwaters of the Smith River, directly adjacent to and underneath Sheep Creek. – Phil Monahan (Orvis)
