Life is a collage…
Artist, guide and angler, Rachel Finn, lives in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York with 4 setters and a fishing guide. She is a well trained and accomplished artist with a Masters in Fine Arts from Yale University. She guides on the famed Ausable River amongst other lesser heralded streams and killer ponds in the area.
Rachel will tell you she draws inspiration from the Adirondacks and 10 seasons spent guiding float trips in Alaska for big rainbows, salmon and char. Currently Rachel is the head guide for the Hungry Trout and is on the pro staff for Scott Fly Rods, Airflo Fly Lines, and Nautilus Reels, and is a Patagonia fly fishing ambassador.
Her current artworks are all collage on paper, using mostly feathers and torn paper- recycled fishing magazines, and the like.
