ARC Fishing Leaders

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]reat yourself to ARC leaders and tippets next time you get the chance and you will not be disappointed. They offer an array of strong, abrasion resistant options. Co-polymer leaders come in 7X (2.4#)-0X (15#) and from 7.5′-12′ long and incorporate a long powerful butt section that transitions gradually to a supple tippet taper for careful presentation. Hand tied perfection loop adorns each butt section. Arc has achieved shock absorption and abrasion resistance quite effectively with their ARC99 fly fishing leaders. A 3-pack will run you $12.99.

ARC Fishing Tippets

In their tippet arsenal, ARC includes ARC Fluorocoat (fluorocarbon coated nylon), ARC Camo (multi colored nylon), and ARC Fluoro NXT (100% fluorocarbon).  ARC Fluorocoat combines the strength and suppleness of nylon with the durability and low Screen Shot 2016-09-06 at 8.57.10 AMvisibility of fluorocarbon in a single line. Designed for maximum invisibility, ARC Camo utilizes a unique color pattern to reduce light transmission and blend with the natural background environment. It was designed for those anglers who consider high strength and low visibility the most important features. Finally, ARC Fluoro NXT “utilizes the latest in PVDF co-polymer materials and a state-of-the-art extrusion process to produce a superior 100% fluorocarbon tippet.” I have found it strong and durable. Knots made with NXT are easy to tie and seat well. Color coated retainer bands let you know which size you are grabbing when you are in a hurry to retie for that fish rising at the top of the pool.

ARC Fishing is a niche fly fishing company that has concentrated its efforts on doing a couple of things very well: fly lines, leaders and tippets. And that they do. Their Fluorocoat is the first tippet of it’s kind while their Camo tippet is the only multi-color camouflage tippet on the market.

ARC gives back. Wild water benefits.

Screen Shot 2016-09-06 at 9.19.36 AMFor every ARC fly line sold in their online shop, they’ll give $10 to one of the angling conservation nonprofits near and dear to their family, and yours. Even better, you get to decide where the $10 donation goes. Buy great things. Help do great things. Take a closer look at each of the five incredible organizations they are supporting, then head on over to the online shop and purchase product that gives back.
