If you can tolerate superior bonefishing, excellent guides, great food and a private, air conditioned room – you’ll love Abaco Lodge

And to add to the excitement, there are other species: permit, tarpon, mutton snapper and barracuda. “We hope you can join us July 5th through the 8th for some great fishing. Abaco Lodge

The lodge is on the western side of Great Abaco Island – easy access from South Florida into Marsh Harbour. From the airport it’s only a 10 minutes from the lodge. The lodge offers air conditioned private rooms, pool, patio area and plenty of space to unwind after a day of fishing. For those wishing to stay connected with home or office – computers are available with high speed internet access. There’s also flat screen TV’s so that you don’t miss any big games. Dining at Abaco Lodge is truly world class, lots of great seafood, fresh baked bread and pastries and plenty of choices for lunch. Special dietary needs can be arranged for.

The Fishing

The fishing at Abaco Lodge is what it’s all about. Anglers can enjoy lots of different fishing, big numbers of bonefish in the Marls, or chasing the larger fish on the outside flats. There are also permit and even smaller tarpon, and even the elusive mutton snapper. Depending on your skill level and interests, you can spend a day in the Marls – you’ll get lots of shots, then the next day search the outside for that memorable trophy fish. Either way, Abaco Lodge offers some of the finest bonefishing you will find anywhere. NOTE: In recent years, more and more permit are being caught in these waters as well.

Upon arrival at the lodge, there will be time to check over your equipment: flies, leaders, discuss fishing techniques, even go over some casting pointers for those who need them or are new to flats fishing. We will also pair up anglers that have similar fishing preferences. The three days will be about fishing and then relaxing after a great meal and talking about the great fishing you’ve had.

We sincerely hope you can come with us on this trip, and many others to come. We are planning other trips to the Bahamas as well as a soon to be announced trip trout fishing in Argentina. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or about interest in other fishing destinations.
