It is fall, the browns are going to get romantic

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]heir shtick is head for the drive-in, fatten up on anything for the winter and make whoopee.

If your neck of the woods holds browns, wait until the weather turns and try a tandem streamer. In most destinations, they lead to more hookups.

Tandems are easy to tie

One fly tethers to the other via a 30-pound plastic coated wire (about 2 and 1/4-inches works OK). Longer can interfere with the cast, but it is a u-pic-em. The lead hook is always (at least) one size larger than the trailing hook.

Explaining how-to in words is laborious and a bit old hat these days. We got lucky enough to avoid that by finding a video that just deals with ‘connecting’ the un-feathered hooks.

We just love simple

NOTE: Make sure tandem hooks are legal in the fishery you intend to fish.
