[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he fly takes some time to tie. Rich does it in about 15 minutes, but it took me around 40 minutes the first go, but I’ve cut that almost in half – after about 10 flies. I use a saltwater hook, not a as shown in Vimeo, and I beef up the front and back as well.

The fly itself is great for the surf  blues, Spanish macks, snook, and offshore almost anything will hit it. Baby tarpon, around 20 or more pounds will hit it. And, of course, big jacks, but they’ll hit a Cadillac bumper. I imagine stripers would love it.

I had less luck with it in the fresh water – crappies, largemouth, mudfish, peacocks, exotics and bream but I imagine if I altered my color palette, I would find success with it.
