Fly fishing luminaries like Beau Beasley, Lefty Kreh, Ed Jaworowski, Bob Clouser and Tom Sadler will be there along with many other highly skilled anglers, tyers and artists – holding workshops, classes and demonstrating techniques. Vendors will have the latest and greatest new “stuff.”
Want to get started in fly fishing but don’t know where to begin?
The Virginia Fly Fishing Festival is the ideal place to get your feet wet in the sport. Are you an avid fly angler looking to take your skills to the next level? The festival is your one-stop shop for gear, expert advice, and even instruction. Be a part of the largest fly angling event in the Old Dominion!
Bonus event
As a prelude to the festival, Where The Yellowstone Goes, a documentary film (feature length) by filmmaker Hunter Weeks, will be shown in Harrisonburg on Friday, April 19, at 7:30 pm at the Court Square Theater, which is about a 40 minute drive from South River in Waynesboro.
Festival venue
Due to construction, the festival has been moved to soccer field opposite of the original festival grounds (Constitution Park). The move increases the area and accommodates bigger vendor tents and overall operating space. You’ll also be closer to the wineries.
