[dropcap]M[/dropcap]y three FlyMen Articulated Shank packets in lengths of 20mm, 35mm and 55mm arrived a week or more ago, but largemouth bass and hybrid bass were showing signs of gathering nearby to my new Atlanta address so I put-off tying until bad weather returned.

Being a Division III tyer I wasn’t quite sure how to incorporate the articulated shank into the pattern I envisioned. My goal was dark brown a leech-like pattern. So, off to the internet I went to watch several videos. The one below from Catch is the best I was able to find. It isn’t necessarily the exact fly pattern that provided the learning but it was the technique and how to use it that really helped.
