[dropcap]A[/dropcap]nne Vandewalle is an artist, photographer, fly fisher and certifiable cowgirl that has been happily hunting carp and stealing trout out of Colorado streams for many years. With a camera strapped precariously inches above the water, she strives to capture the emotional part of fishing, not just the fish.
Combining her three loves, horses, fishing and film, she is starting a documentary project entitled Can you Teach a Horse to Fish? It will capture the adventure of training her horse to stand with her in the stream and let a cast fly. Having personally experienced the healing properties of a river and a horse, Anne says: “I hope to have others find the joy too . . . and create the possibility of people with disabilities to go where the real fish are – in the back-country. Let them use the horse not only to get there, but to be able to access the stream.”
Anne says: “Come along for the ride.”
