There are several fly fisher’s knots that are used with the “figure 8”

[dropcap]I[/dropcap]n the following videos, two uses of “figure 8” are shown. One to connect tippet-to-shock and tippet-to-butt … similar to the Albright and the Huffnagle. The other “figure 8” knot we found useful is a replacement for the Non-Slip Loop Knot, and reportedly stronger. It is called the Double Figure 8 Loop Knot.

Both these knots are guide tested, strong, relatively easy to tie and properly seat.
