Yellow Breeches Anglers and Conservation Association
One of the best regional fishing/outdoor/hunting/conservation shows is held annually in March in Central Pennsylvania. This region is so rich in my memory as the nucleus of my fly fishing growth that the Yellow Breeches Anglers and Conservation Association [YBAC] will always be posted on this website as a relevant event. The show

Thom Glace is a world-class, award-winning watercolorist who is a serious fly fisherman and a staunch supporter of the Yellow Breeches Anglers and Conservation Association and its Fishing and Outdoor Show, which is held each March.
‘The YBAC holds a fly fishing and outdoor show to supplement our operating budget and fish feed costs. The Fishing and Outdoor Show features eighty-four vendor spaces and over sixty vendors for hunting, fishing, boating, cycling, historic preservation, and stream conservation efforts. Seminars include fly tying, bass, trout, steelhead, catfish, and muskie fishing techniques presented by Pennsylvania-licensed guides.

Yellow Breeches Anglers and Conservation Association, Inc. History and Mission
The Yellow Breeches Anglers and Conservation Association was founded in 1961 by a group of dedicated trout fishermen and conservationists. YBAC is part of the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission Cooperative Nursery Program. The Fish Commission provides the club with fingerling trout to be raised and stocked in the Yellow Breeches Creek to supplement the Commission’s stocking schedule. We raise approximately 40,000 Brown, Rainbow, and Palomino trout each year at our nursery on Martin Road outside of Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania.
Stocking
The area stocked with trout raised by the club covers over fourteen miles of water open to public fishing, certain special regulation areas, and Children’s Lake in Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania. Stocking dates are scheduled in a manner that provides excellent trout fishing to the public throughout the year. YBAC uses float stocking to lessen the stress on the trout we put in the creek.

Donate
The Yellow Breeches Anglers and Conservation Association is a 501c3 Non-profit Organization. Our operating funds come from membership dues, an annual Fishing and Outdoor Show fundraiser in early March, and donations from various private individuals and organizations. In addition to our primary mission of raising trout to supplement the Fish Commission stocking program, we also support several youth fishing derbies each summer with manpower and fish. The club also supports the Rivers Conservation Fly Fishing Youth Camp at Messiah College with fish and a scholarship for the cost of attendance for one youngster from the central Pennsylvania area who would otherwise not be able to attend. Each January through March, we offer free fly-tying classes at the Nursery. Classes are open to the public.
Membership
The Yellow Breeches Anglers and Conservation Association membership is open to all individuals and ages interested in assisting us with our efforts. General membership meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM at our trout nursery on Martin Road, Carlisle, PA.
