Recreational fishing trade show is one of the fastest growing in the U.S.

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades, better known as ICAST, has been recognized by Trade Show Executive and the Trade Show News Network as one of the fastest-growing trade shows by attendance in the U.S. Produced by the American Sportfishing Association (ASA), ICAST is the world’s largest sportfishing trade show annually drawing close to 10,000 representatives from the global sportfishing community.

iftd1iTrade Show Executive’s “Fastest 50” award is determined based on growth in attendance over a two-year period of time (2010 – 2012). ICAST was ranked number nine on the list. The Trade Show News Network placed ICAST on its Top 25 Fastest-growing Shows by Attendance for 2012.

“We appreciate Trade Show Executive’s and the Trade Show News Network’s recognition of this important industry event,” said Trade Show Director Ken Andres. “This is an exciting time for recreational fishing and all outdoor sports and the event’s continued success reflects both the strength of the industry and our member companies who exhibit at the show.”

Andres further said, “The growth in attendance is a direct result of our efforts to improve the show by expanding our business seminars and refining our marketing and public relations strategies.”

ICAST 2012 was held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. ICAST 2013 is being held July 9 – 12, at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
