The American Museum of Fly Fishing presents Angling & Art: The Confluence of Passions with its sporting art benefit sale July 1-July 31, 2014
[dropcap]A[/dropcap]rt and the sport of fly fishing have been intimately connected throughout history – and remain so today; from angler Winslow Homer to naturalist James Prosek, artists have captured the magic and chronicled the heritage of fly fishing for centuries. In fact, two of our present day Board members are prominent, nationally recognized artists and many others are serious art collectors and art enthusiasts. In addition, the Museum has always featured art in its exhibitions and our current exhibit, The Wonders of Fly Fishing, is no exception.
This year, Angling & Art will take place July 1-31; held in our nationally recognized Gardner L. Grant library, housing a collection of over 7,000 rare and historic fly fishing reference books, located at 4070 Main Street in Manchester, Vermont. We are also planning public programs throughout the sale period to encourage the public to learn more about art.
For the convenience of people near and far we are selling at artwork displayed in the Museum online!
