[dropcap]C[/dropcap]ontinuing the evolution of electric trolling motor technology, Minn Kota® introduces the most powerful trolling motor on the market featuring 112 pounds of thrust. “As the long-time innovation leader, we have developed a motor that delivers significantly higher thrust with minimal impact to size and weight,” Minn Kota Senior Product Manager Dave Maryanov said. “In addition to increased power, the new balanced motor design offers improved boat control with less steering effort.”
The high thrust models provide extra power when needed such as fighting wind and current, making quick adjustments, powering through thick vegetation and moving between fishing spots. The new 112-lb thrust motors are designed to maximize efficiency. Amp draw is similar to existing 36-volt motors, delivering increased thrust without compromising time on the water.
The 112-lb thrust models (36-volt system) will be available in 2014 for the following Minn Kota product lines: Fortrex™, Terrova™, Riptide SF and Riptide ST bow-mount motors, and Riptide® Transom motors.
