[dropcap]A[/dropcap]lmost all saltwater fly fishing involves casting in the wind. In many instances, like fishing for bones, reds and tarpon; the wind is not your enemy – but more your friend since it will help hide you, your line and movements. All of this allows you to get in closer to the fish. Wind creates chop, stirs up sediment and diminishes water clarity. It also creates a less clear lens through which the critters can detect you.
