“They come and go from Key West harbor over 300 times a year and this is what happens every time.”
[dropcap]A[/dropcap] few weeks ago in Key West, Florida I saw what this video is all about, and it’s “silt” alright. How many more cruise ships departing and arriving will it take to chase every last tarpon from the Key West Harbor for good?
This is as bad as PTTS is to Boca Grande pass tarpon on the west coast of Florida.

I have witnessed this myself and would love the see the ships gone from KW harbor. The recent vote to keep the ultra large ships out of the harbor was a great victory but I seriously doubt that they will be able to remove the cruise ships completely. I am naïve to cruise ship logistics but what are the likely outcomes here. 1. Do nothing. 2. Remove the cruise ships from KW harbor. 3. Dredge the harbor again. 4. Transport the cruise ship passengers ashore. 5. Bring the ships in under tug power?
My fear is that they would decide to dredge the harbor again.
