A memorial to the nearly 10,000 American soldiers laid to rest on the beaches of Normandy during WWII.

The Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial in Colleville-sur-Mer, France, memorialize the nearly 10,000 American soldiers that died there during WWII. A total of 419,400 U. S. service men and women perished during WWII.
