R. B. Meiser Switch Rods

The flex and power of the 909 rods are far different then typical single hand fly rods and take some getting used to. They’re short two-handed rods designed specifically to eliminate the physical burden of single hand double-haul delivery. It aides  by lessening the fatigue factor when search casting, and especially so when your dealing with extreme shooting heads and big bugs.

They’re excellent boat rods – short enough to manage explosive fish at the gunnels, and powerful enough to turn large fish on speed runs.

These are ideal rods stopping an aggressive bursts of speed run from a giant trevally, jack crevalle, tuna or tarpon. $595 to $695

Tackle Webs

No matter what size boat you’re fishing on, it always seems that you lack a good spot to store “stuff” that keeps them out of the way, yet still accessible when needed. The folks at Tackle Webs heard our pleas for more storage options and developed Tackle Webs storage.

Tackle Webs consist of a heavy nylon mesh bag that has several grommets located on the outer edge. A number of rubber bungees come with the bag, and you attach the bag to your leaning post, tower leg, etc., with the rubber bungees. A cinch strap on the front lets you secure any items or rigs you choose, and the mesh bag lets you rinse off items as they hang. Tackle Webs come in two sizes, 16 by 12 inches and 24 by 15 inches.

Sizes: 12 X 16, 16 X 12, 24 X 15 and 32 X 15 > Colors: gray, blue and black > Prices: $29 to $49
