Jill Tapia to Join The International Game Fish Association as Director of Finance & Administration

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he International Game Fish Association (IGFA) today announced that Jill Tapia will join the association staff as Director of Finance & Administration, effective October 8, 2018.

“We are very excited to welcome Jill Tapia to the IGFA leadership team,” said IGFA President Nehl Horton. “As we embark upon our new three-year strategy to strengthen the association across a variety of fronts, her deep financial management experience will be essential to our success.”

Background

Tapia comes to the IGFA from Principles Recovery Center, LLC, in Davie, Fla., where she has served as Vice President of Finance since June of 2016. Prior to that, Tapia served as Controller of United TranzActions, LLC, where she supervised all accounting and financial processes and oversaw the monthly closing of financial reports as well as treasury processes and reconciliation of $25 billion annually. She previously served as an Auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers and as Treasury Manager for National Check Trust, Inc. Tapia holds a BS in Accounting from Nova Southeastern University, where she was a member of the Delta Epsilon Iota Academic Honor Society and made the Dean’s List.

Tapia grew up in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. At a very early age, her father taught her how to bait a hook and cast a line, fostering her love of fishing and the great outdoors.

“I am extremely excited to join the IGFA and for the opportunity to work alongside the passionate and dedicated team there,” Tapia said. “I look forward to contributing to the growth and financial security of the organization.”
