Coloradan, Allen Gardner believes a passion that isn’t shared with others is wasted

Gardner says he teaches every one of the 500,000 people who come to his site every year to become a better lifestyle angler. With 15 years of experience fishing that puts him on the river when not being a husband, father of three, entrepreneur, or enjoying his favorite craft-brew, he likes to be thought of as a man who goes out of his way to help others.
I love a good laugh and not afraid to shuffle down the riverbank in a water master to get to the excellent fishing.
So, what are the differences he finds between fly fishers and spin fishers?
“I was hanging out with one of my friends the other day, and they asked me how I spend my time since I’m often not out at parties, but instead off by myself on a river – it leads me to a conversation about my passion, fly fishing. As I talked with my friend, he didn’t even know the difference between the two sports- fly fishing and spin fishing. I realized that I frequently have to explain to people the difference between the two, as most people equate the two when they are worlds apart in reality.”
The only real similarity of fly fishing vs. spin fishing is that you are still catching fish. That, however, is where the similarities stop
Though other differences exist, these are the main ones as it pertains to equipment and usage.
