When the pros, offshore captains, or fly fishing guides always have one or two, maybe even three or four flies in particular sizes and colors, it’s more than a good idea to have a copycat fly wallet with them in it.
If you’re in the Northeast and it’s right now, and until maybe Thanksgiving, and you’re fly fishing off Montauk, Long Island, New York, or off Orient Point Long Island, New York, you’ll want to have something that looks like the pictured flies tied on #1 and 1/0 hooks.
The combinations of colors are in the pallet of the usual suspects. The undocumented immigrants invading the coastline waters of said real estate that can be ‘Iced’ are Morone saxatilis [stripers] and Euthynnus alletteratus [albies].
