From larvae to pupa to adult stages of aquatic life, segmenting foam to mimic real-life stages of body growth can play a valuable role in attracting an eat starting from benthic to surface in order to gain flight or spinning to death post procreating.
There are many ways to accomplish segmented ‘bug’ bodies [abdomen]. Using thin mm foam is probably the easiest way to make several ’bug bodies’ in different sizes, colors [paint], thicknesses, and lengths.
