Rebecca A. Haydock grew up in Upstate, NY, creating art at an early age. She attended Cornell University and worked as a business executive for many years, maintaining her drive to create by continuing art classes and drawing and sketching regularly.  Following the birth of her first son, she dedicated her time to art, studying with several well known artists including Master portrait artist, Daniel Greene, Seamus Berkeley (student of Richard Schmid), and Alex McFarlane (master watercolorist.)

She is a commissioned portrait artist, completing oil and watercolor paintings of people and their passions. Rebecca Haydock’s work is held in private collections across the United States, and has been viewed in American fly fishing publications. She donates to water related philanthropies whenever paintings containing water are sold, including:  Project Healing Waters, Trout Unlimited, American Rivers, and Rivanna Conservation Society.

Rebecca paints primarily from her studio on the Rivanna Reservoir in Charlottesville.  She does travel to see clients, and travels regularly to capture the beauty of life, often on the water. She also occasionally teaches, but not on a formal basis.
