With new fishing packs, bags, vests, and accessories, fishpond is constantly striving to make angler’s experiences on the water more enjoyable with functional features, colors, and recycled fabrics.
Two new completely waterproof, submersible packs join the line for 2016. The Thunderhead Sling and El Niño Guide Pack use fishpond’s CYCLEPOND® recycled commercial fishing net fabric that is then TPU coated and welded. To make them completely waterproof, fishpond uses the TIZIP® submersible zipper made in Germany. This large zipper on both packs opens up to a cavernous space with an interior accessory pocket to hold anything that needs to stay dry. An exterior zippered pocket is water resistant, and both packs have mesh back panels to keep anglers cool on the water. An integrated net slot and plenty of exterior tabs and cord loops hold all the necessary accessories. Both packs retail for $199.95.

New to the pack lineup is the Oxbow Chest/Backpack. This is a modular design that allows flexibility while on the water. Wear the hydration backpack on its own for multiple outdoor pursuits or combine with the chest pack for a more minimalist adventure. A structured mesh back panel and padded, contoured shoulder straps help carry heavy loads in the larger backpack, and the Savage Creek Chest Pack easily attaches to the back or the front for quick access items. Both packs use fishpond’s CYCLEPOND recycled fabric. Two zip out rod tube holders, an internal water reservoir system and net attachment point ensure anglers can carry everything they need for a long day on the water. The Oxbow retails for $189.95.
In the vest category, fishpond reimagined its well-known one size fits most design with the new Kingfisher Tech Vest. This is the most technical and feature oriented vest available, anywhere. Three, fishpond signature molded fly/cargo bench pockets on the front safely hold flies and boxes, while seven other front zippered pockets hold the remaining necessities .Two large pockets on the back complete the vest. Padded, weight-distributing shoulder straps offer all-day comfort, and mesh backing helps keep the wearer cool in warm weather while the fleece hand warmer pockets come in handy on cold days. Continuing with the use of CYCLEPOND fabric, the exterior also has a d-ring for securing a net, hypalon tabs, cord loops and more to carry extra items. The Kingfisher will retail for $179.95.
For 2016, fishpond wanted to push the envelope of design by creating a well thought out women’s vest with the Muchacha Women’s Tech Vest. With lightweight, breathable CYCLEPOND fabric, 13 exterior pockets, mesh backing for warm weather comfort, and fleece-lined hand warmer pockets, this vest has plenty of features. The large, easy-access back pouch holds lunch or a raincoat, and the one-size-fits-most vest has adjustable shoulder and waist straps designed for a woman’s body. Retail on the Muchacha is $139.95.
Setting the standard for carrying your entire fishing kit over the shoulder with optimum comfort for long periods, fishpond introduces the Summit and Buckhorn Slings. The Summit Sling includes fishpond’s signature molded drop down fly/cargo bench with Velcro foam fly attachment spot, a larger pocket for fly boxes and other gear and a convenient water bottle holder on the bottom. The Buckhorn Sling is a smaller version of the popular, ambidextrous Delta Sling Pack. Both include a shoulder pad workstation with Velcro and hypalon attachment points, integrated net sleeve and coated YKK water resistant zippers. Of course, both are made with CYCLEPOND and will retail for $99.99 and 129.95, respectively.
All anglers like to have everything they need at their fingertips including a cold beverage, so fishpond created the Drifty Boat Caddy and the Cerveza Sidekick. The Drifty can be attached to a cooler, hung over the gunwale of a boat or strapped to a raft frame. The Drifty has a molded fly/cargo bench and both have a molded beverage holder, webbing loops for tools and accessories, jacquard webbing daisy chain loops, and plenty of other gear attachment points. The Cerveza Sidekick can be worn around the neck like a chest pack or attached to a cooler with the TPU snap tabs. The Drifty retails fro $99.95 and the Cerveza for $69.95.
A few other additions to note are two size additions to the Sushi Roll, the Molded Water Bottle Holder that can be attached in a multitude of ways and a new color and heavier waxed canvas on the River Bank Backpack, Lodgepole Fishing Satchel, Bighorn Kit Bag, Boulder Briefcase, and Cabin Creek Toiletry Kit.
All new products will be available Fall 2015.
