The 5th annual Fly Fishing and Rod Building Fair is set for Saturday, Dec 4 and 5, 2015. The event brings legendary fly fishing anglers and instructors to the Renzetti facility in TitusvilleScreenshot 2015-11-09 12.06.13

[dropcap]P[/dropcap]articipants will engage with industy greats like Lefty Kreh, Bob Clouser, Jon Cave, Bob Popovics, Nick Curcione, Flip Pallot, Pat Ehlers and many others. The pros will be on hand to give programs on and teach all aspects of the sport. Subjects to be covered include fly tying and fly casting. On the rod building side, rodsmiths John Stumpe and Curtis Baker will teach selected techniques in custom rod building. They will also be exhibiting personal samples of their rod building craft.

Other events such as a two day ladies fly fishing school is scheduled Dec. 4-5 and a one day fly fishing school with Bob Clouser and Jon Cave on Dec 4th. Limited seating for this classes require reservation by Nov 25th. For more information . . .

images-1The Renzetti Fly Fishing Fair is more than a learning adventure. It promotes fly fishing education and raises funds for two very deserving programs — Casting for Recovery- Florida and Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing

Casting for Recovery Florida (CfR-FL) is a unique organization that uses the sport of fly fishing as a way to contribute to the rehabilitation of breast cancer patients. Their purpose is to combine breast cancer education, peer support and the therapeutic nature of fly-casting to help survivors lead a life after their encounter with breast cancer.

Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc. is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing and associated activities including education and outings.

The fun begins on Friday Dec. 4 with the popular “An Evening with the Legends” reception. The reception gives attendees the opportunity to bid on the many quality items in an auction format and mingle with fly fishing legends.

Wendy Radwan began fly casting 11 years ago, then fly fishing and about five yeas ago she became fascinated with flies and began tying. She’s from central Florida. Radwan is the president of a local Reel Women club with about 20 members that try to meet once a month.

All proceeds from the “Legends” reception will benefit Casting for Recovery FL and Project Healing Waters. The cost is $60.00 per person with RSVPs needed by November 25th.
