Rise Fly Fishing is on a mission to produce high-quality fly rods that are both affordable and durable

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Level and Level X give anglers two great options that are ready for both fresh and saltwater trips. Finding a fast action rod that meets a price point under the heartburn threshold is uncommon. Throw in the Lifetime warranty and you have a rare breed of high-performance rods.

The Level series ranges from 200 to 350 dollars depending on the size. All Level rods come in 9-foot lengths with weights at 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 14. The 4-piece, fast action rods have a beautiful dark blue finish with chrome guides and components. The anodized reel seat makes them saltwater safe. Former guide, Zach Lazzari has been fishing the 5 weight in the Rocky Mountain West. Lazzari says, “The Level has earned a position as one of the more versatile rods in my arsenal. I over-lined it with a 6 weight WF line because it has enough backbone to alternate between subtle dry fly presentations and moderately sized trout streamers. I love the feel and delivery with this setup.”

The Level X Series is a step up from the Level with pricing just under 450 dollars. The oversized guides and fast action are really geared towards saltwater anglers and those making long casts on short notice. The ability to quickly generate line speed is a necessity when sight fishing and chasing fish on the move. The lighter 5 and 6 weights are excellent for freshwater streamer fishing and the 7 through 12 weights can handle any big game fishing in fresh and saltwater.

Rise Rods mission is to create the best fly rods possible at a price that doesn’t discriminate. No one is harder on gear than guides, so we’ve worked with world class fly fishing guides to help sculpt our rods and put them to the true test of fishing them hard! Thousands of days on the water have led to the design of our first two series of rods and this philosophy will never change, as we develop new series in the Rise line up. We have a passion for fly fishing we’d like to share, and we think everyone should have affordable access to the sport.

Although we all love fishing, we believe in giving back. In our first few years of business Rise Fishing has donated to several great causes and groups throughout the country. We have worked with Trout Unlimited Youth camps, Casting for Recovery and Reel Recovery to name a few. Hundreds of rods have been donated for camps and retreats and we will continue to do so every year.
