Meko Glinton has international recognition as the go to guy when it comes to bone fishing in the Bahamas. His teaching, coaching and fly tying skills keep in demand year ‘round. Look for his new book (Orvis). Image credit unknown.

[dropcap]M[/dropcap]eko was literally born into Bonefishing, his Father Stanley (“Stan the Man”) Glinton, and his Grandfather, David Pinder sr. were instrumental with the establishing of Deep Water Cay Club. Stanley was also the first guide (from day one) at North Riding Point Club

Meko began his illustrious career at Deep Water Cay Club in 1997, and rose to the position of head guide in 2010. Over the years, he was the guide of choice for luminaries such as; Flip Pallot, Michael Keaton, Tom Brokaw, Liam Neeson, Lefty Kreh, Huey Lewis, and Perk Perkins. He is an Orvis Contract Fly Developer, with two patterns in their top seller’s category: the infamous “Meko Special”, and the “M2”. He also has a new book: “Tips Ahoy!” – to be released in 2016 by Orvis Publishing

Meko now brings his talents to North Riding Point Club. Situated in the middle of Grand Bahama Island, it’s a perfect jumping off point for fishing some of the most remote water found anywhere, all just 117 miles from West Palm Beach. This water offers arguably, more shots at 10 pound plus Bonefish than any other location throughout the Bahamas. First Class lodging, outstanding cuisine, and a superb staff round out this hidden Bahamian treasure.

Meko Glinton, on joining the North Riding Point Family: “North Riding Point Club is a very special place. Words can’t describe how excited I am to be able to now offer my clients such a large and diverse area of fishing grounds. Plus I have a chance to finally get to work along side my father Stanley Glinton, who is the original guide that started North Riding Point so many years ago, we are now on the same team and that means a lot to me!”

Paul Adams – Manager, North Riding Point Club:

“Omeko is a tremendous talent, he possesses incredible instinct, and is a patient, positive teacher. I’m absolutely thrilled he has joined our staff of seasoned professionals. In short: he’s the perfect addition for us.”
