Public lands in America are purposely and increasingly being blocked from public access to hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, canoeing, birding, and even walking rights. It’s crushing what Wallace Stegner called ‘America’s Best Idea Ever’ – Public Lands. But, unfortunately, an army of one-percenters, people who wear flag pins to suggest what they are not, think so little of America’s ‘Best Idea Ever’ that they bought enough politicians to guarantee a yes vote or a no vote on creating a new, and increasingly greedy, ‘Moneyed’ class that contributes so little it can’t be measured.
