You’re invited to Don Reed’s Saltwater Flytyers at Oyster Creek Outfitters’ Grand Opening (August 20). Don’t miss this FREE day-long event – including lunch!

Headlining the affair are noted fly-fishing celebrities Joe Mahler and his talented sidekick, Drew Chicone

Mahler, from Fort Myers, has written for Fly Fisherman Magazine, Salt Water Sportsman, Outdoor Life, Fly Tier and other publications. He is the author and illustrator of Essential Knots & Rigs for Trout and Essential Knots & Rigs for Salt Water. Mahler is nationally known for his ‘finger on top’ casting technique and several DIY tips & Tactics.

Chicone, also from Fort Myers, is the author of Snook Flies and Redfish Flies. Chicone, like Don Reed, Enrico Puglisi, Bob Popovics and Tim Flagler  are nationally and internationally recognized for their fly tying innovations, techniques and new materials options and developments.

Don Reed and the talented Oyster Creek Outfitters staff will be on hand to answer questions.

Much of the activity and instruction will take place on the banks of the Oyster Creek pond, adjacent to the new shop at 314 S. Ponce De Leon Boulevard US 1, 32084 in St. Augustine. The cookout is from noon until 2 p.m.
