In conventional fly fishing simplicity is sometimes resisted. In Tenkara fly fishing, simplicity is akin to perfection

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he following video does not demonstrate ‘all’ the knots a Japanese peasant would have used two centuries ago. Nothing was written down to chronicle such details. But the performance and utility of the knots shown do demonstrate how simple, strong and how reusable Tenkara’s system of connections is today. And, yes, they all ‘hold.’
