As angling destinations around the world begin to reopen, we are updating our programs on a daily basis. Here is an updated list of current and expected openings.

UNITED STATES
Idaho: Open and fishing.
Wyoming: Open and fishing.
Montana: Open and fishing.
Louisiana: Open and fishing.
Alaska: Requires printed proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 72 hours prior to the start of your travel itinerary to Alaska. Both the results and a completed travel declaration need to be submitted upon arrival in Alaska.
Hawaii: Beginning Oct. 1, 2020, travelers arriving in Hawaii from out-of-state will have the option to get a valid COVID-19 test prior to their arrival and show proof of a negative test result, to avoid the 14-day quarantine. Evidence of a negative test result must be provided upon arrival in Hawaii.
CANADA AND MEXICO
Canada: Reassessing non-essential travel until further notice.
Mexico: The Yucatan and Baja Peninsulas are open to international tourists.
CENTRAL AMERICA
Belize: The Belize Tourism Board announced more friendly testing timelines and options for travelers in the immediate future. Since Belize reopened for international travel on October 1, 2020, Yellow Dog has worked with dozens of anglers to plan and execute straightforward trips to Belize was smooth travel and great fishing opportunities. Travelers that have been administered their final vaccine (at least two weeks prior to arrival) may enter without a negative Covid-19 test. You must bring an official vaccination card that shows you were given your final vaccination at least two weeks prior to your arrival in Belize. Continue reading here.
Honduras: Open and fishing. A negative COVID-19 test is required for travelers.
Guatemala: Open and fishing. Negative COVID test required for travelers.
Costa Rica: Costa Rican authorities recently announced that all residents of the United States, regardless of their state of residence, will be allowed to visit the country starting November 1. As of October 26, 2020, no COVID-19 test required for travelers. However, there are insurance policy requirements and PCR test requirements that will be checked carefully by Costa Rican officials upon entry into the country. CARRIBEAN: BAHAMAS AND CUBA
Bahamas: Currently open to the European Union, United Kingdom, and Canadian travelers. On November 1, 2020, the Bahamas entered Phase 4 of their Tourism Readiness & Recovery Plan, which included the reopening of beaches and major hotels as well as the entry of US citizens with proof of a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken no more than five (5) days prior to arrival. Cuba: It’s complicated. Flights have resumed to Havana (HAV) and many of the fisheries are now technically to anglers. Availability for 2022 is in HIGH demand and we are now booking well into 2023. Please contact Yellow Dog for full updates and the details of near-future travel to Cuba.
SOUTH AMERICA
Argentina: Borders are partly open for Argentinian resident travel. Please contact us for more details
Chile: All passengers (including Chileans and residents) must complete an obligatory 10-day quarantine upon arrival in Chile. The first 5 days of quarantine will be conducted at a “transit hotel” designated by the Chilean Ministry of Health. During this 5-day period, all passengers will be required to take a second PCR test. If the test returns negative, passengers will be allowed to spend the second 5-day period of quarantine in their residence or a hotel of their choice. Passengers who test positive will be taken to a “sanitary residence” to complete their quarantine there.
Bolivia: Open and fishing for the 2021 season. Bolivian Visa requirements have been reinstated (and can be purchased upon arrival).
Brazil: Effective January 26, all airline passengers to the United States ages two years and older must provide a negative COVID-19 viral test taken within three calendar days of travel. Alternatively, travelers to the U.S. may provide documentation from a licensed health care provider of having recovered from COVID-19 in the 90 days preceding travel.
CHRISTMAS ISLAND
Christmas Island: Closed until the end of June.
