Yellow Dog Community and Conservation Foundation

When Wild Steelhead Coalition board member Josh Mills saw the destruction caused throughout the Bahamas by Hurricane Dorian, he set out to raise recovery funds by auctioning a dozen of his beautiful steelhead flies online.

This gesture inspired dozens of other fly tyers and members of the fishing community to join him. Within a few days, a “Dozen for Dorian” had raised over $17,000 for the Yellow Dog Community and Conservation Foundation (YDCCF)!

Now all tyers are encouraged to tie a dozen flies and auction them off on their social channels. All proceeds are being donated to the Yellow Dog Community and Conservation Foundation (YDCCF). All funds raised through the YDCCF Hurricane Relief Fund will be distributed directly to those that need help. YDCCF plans to deliver funds on both Grand Bahama and Abaco: placing funds directly into the hands of those that need it most by working with our network of lodges and local outfitters. This is the most direct way to ensure that these resources are delivered directly to the people that need the most help. #dozenfordorian
