How to tie a generic EP White Bait Fly

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]his saltwater pattern is very easy to tie. It mimics a mullet, pinfish or pilchard and works well for snook and tarpon in Florida. This pattern has many options with regard to color, hook style, hook size and lends itself to being tied on a tube. The latter adds more options, hook can be made to ride up and a tailing second hook will catch those fish that just nip at the tail.

Capt. Matt Thomas ties this fly and says it has caught more snook and tarpon than he can possibly remember. Matt guides in the Florida Keys in the spring during the annual tarpon migration.
