The Brahma Bugger as tied by Tim Flagler of Tightline Productions[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he newer version of this fly uses the exact some material as shown, just the color distinctions of the tail and body are more contrasted. It wa a suggestion, tim says, was made by his tying buddy Todd Moen of Catch Magazine fame. The Whiting Farm soft hackle with chickabou makes the entitre fly.
Tim says it is his new go-to fly and Moen agrees
Although designed as a coldwater trout fly, I think bass will hit it and even bonefish. We’ll see.
I tied a few on tubes and some on the suggested size hook Flagler calls out. I used using SaltwaterFlyTyers‘ Grizzly Marabou and chose tan and olive as contrast.[vimeo id=”103244813″ width=”620″ height=”360″]
