Help Us Pack It Out for Public Lands Day

Stewardship of our public resources is a lifetime commitment, but all during Public Lands Month, BHA members across North America are doubling down and participating in our 2nd annual Public Land Pack Out, collecting trash from fishing access sites, wildlife management areas and other public lands and waters on which hunters and anglers depend for access and opportunity.

To date, we’ve logged more than 800 bags – an estimated total of more than 12 tons of trash removed from your lands and waters. We’re blown away by the effort and proud of so many of you who’ve stepped up in any way you can.

We’re so close to meeting our goal of 1,000 bags of trash and need you to get us across the finish line! First Lite is donating $5 to BHA for every bag of trash packed out in September, up to $5,000! Whether you join a chapter-led cleanup event or just head out with friends and family, do your part by packing a few bags of trash off your nearby public lands and waters. When you do, take a picture of your pile and enter it, along with the number of bags collected, via our Public Land Pack Out portal.⁣

Be sure to also post a few pictures here to IG and tag them with #PublicLandPackOut and #PublicLandOwner. We’re randomly selecting participants each week and hooking them up with gift cards from @FirstLiteHunting. That’s on top of rewarding the top packers of the month with even more gear, so be sure to log your bags!⁣

With you behind us we know we can hit this goal. Grab some garbage bags and help us leave your public lands a little better than you found them!
