Staff report

[dropcap]W[/dropcap]hether you have a 18-foot East Cape Fury flats boat, 26-foot Twin Vee Ocean Cat or 57-foot offshore fishing boat.

This devce is a must. It’s called AUTOTETHER. If you fish alone, you need your head examined not to have an AUTOTETHER.

You have to have a kill switch built into your engine (gas or diesel). The yellow AUTOTETHER piece to the left connects to boat’s kill switch on dash. The smaller AUTOTETHER accesorry attaches to your belt. If your fishing and fall overboard, just click the kill switch on your belt and engine stops in 1.5-seconds.

If the operator goes overboard the engine shuts off and an alarm sounds. This prevents a runaway boat and allows the operator to reboard the vessel.

If a passenger goes overboard, the alarm will sound alerting the operator to return and pick up the passenger.

The radio transmitter also works on distance; the sensors can transmit to the receiver up to a distance of 150 feet. Place a passenger sensor into a dinghy being towed, if it breaks loose the alarm will sound.

For added safety, should the operator or a passenger notice a potential danger, just push the red alert button located on the sensor to sound an alarm and stop the boat.
