[dropcap]J[/dropcap]igging has been a fisherman’s catch-fish ploy since biblical times. Today, any big box store will devote an isle or more to these metal munitions.

In fly fishing, jigging is no secret either, but the resurgence of jig-hook flies is based on newer patterns (you will have to find out what works in your fishery) and more importantly, success of quite measurable acclaims. Yours truly included.

You can scan the internet for patterns and vids, but having done that ad nauseum, you may find this gem about as good as it gets. I think of it as a convertible because it can be weighted to fish as a streamer, fish any water column and easily converts to a tube fly with the same options as well as  and can be sized up and down the scale.
