[dropcap]T[/dropcap]hat upcoming bonefish trip to the Bahamas this spring will require some cost adjustments. There will be a VAT tax of 7.5% added to all goods and services starting in 2015.

The latter means you’ll save a little on the room tax, but your guide fees will cost more.

The Bahamian VAT tax is supposed to increase government revenue, provide better service for its citizens and be more equitable up and down the income scale.
